Why we built this
Most of the world thinks about crypto in U.S. dollars. Prices are quoted in USD, analysts share charts in USD, and global markets move on USD. Yet until now, Wealthsimple clients could only view and trade crypto in Canadian dollars. That mismatch was inconvenient — especially for active traders who already hold USD cash or invest in U.S. equities.
Clients told us they wanted to see and trade crypto in USD without having to juggle multiple platforms or do mental conversions. So we built what they needed.
What’s new: USD crypto accounts
Crypto accounts now feature:
